The irony was not lost on me

I was running for water.  By entering the marathon, I was raising money for, and awareness of, the millions of people around the world who have scarce access to water and even scarcer access to clean water.

The irony was not lost on me that at every mile I was handed an unopened bottle of pure spring water. Taking just a couple of sips, I would throw the almost full bottle away and the rest of the water would drain into the gutter.

This is just one of life’s absurdities. Which absurdity gets to you? Please add yours below.
