My favourite Indian restaurant in Ipswich, the Maharani, has kindly agreed to help support my daughter in her Kilimanjaro climb. In October, Rachel is climbing the highest mountain in Africa to raise support and awareness for the people of kIbera, Africa’s largest slum. Every penny she raises will go to help lift people out of poverty forever. Full details are here: Rachel Harris: Kilimanjaro 2012 – climbing poverty mountain.
Please join us for an evening of good conversation and great food. Come yourself, or bring a few friends and share a table and know that every mouthful will help make a difference to someone around the world. The restaurant will give 50% of the menu price towards Rachel’s target (thank you Manik so much).
- Cost: £18 per head. This gives us a selection of starters and main courses, a variety of rice, naan and side dishes and coffee with mints. Other drinks are not included.
- Location: The Maharani Indian Cuisine, 46 Norwich Road, Ipswich IP1 2NJ
- Date & Time: Monday 1st October, 7.30pm
- RSVP’ing is essential. I need to know that you are coming by Friday 28th September 2012. Please contact me direct, add a comment below, use my facebook page or twitter (@simongharris) to let me know.
I’m looking forward to a great evening and the knowledge that it makes a difference.
See you there!
